This $20,000 election commitment will contribute to the Lane Cove Indian Community festivals of Diwali and Holi as well as supporting the purchase of a new PA system to enhance sound quality at their events and reduce long term operational costs.
These are vibrant community events that celebrate Indian culture and traditions. Filled with decorations, cultural performances, a multicultural fashion show and lighting displays- their Diwali and Holi festivals invites the community to celebrate and learn more about Indian culture.
The Lane Cove Indian Communities cultural festivals strengthen multiculturalism in the community, encourages community engagement, and cultural education.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
