Local Labor Candidate for Fowler, Tu Le, announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will provide $10,000 to support the local Lao New Year festival in celebration of its fiftieth anniversary in 2026.
Organised by the Lao Community Advancement Co-op NSW, the Lao New Year festival is a large community event that celebrates Laotian culture and settlement in Australia.
It’s a family friendly event that the whole community can attend which includes food stalls, live music, traditional dances and the bathing of the Buddha statue.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
