Sam was born and raised on the Central Coast. He attended Terrigal Public and Holgate Public for primary school, and Central Coast Adventist for high school. A local surfer with a deep love for the natural environment of the Central Coast, Sam has been involved in many sporting and community organisations on the coast, and continues to volunteer for the Matcham-Holgate RFS.
Sam studied physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. He has worked as a physiotherapist in public hospitals, private practices and Residential Aged Care Facilities on the Central Coast, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As a healthcare professional, Sam understands the crisis our health system is in after 12 years of neglect by the Liberal and National Government. Sam will be a strong local voice who will advocate for the vital services our community deserves.
