Labor for Defence Veterans

Share on Twitter Share on facebook

Labor for defence veterans (LFDV) is a group of Labor members and supporters who honour all Australian service personnel – currently serving and deceased.

We seek to engage all current and former ADF veterans domiciled in NSW regardless of their politics.

We advocate tirelessly for the dignified transition to civilian employment which leverages a veteran’s prior training and experience, in a role, at a time and place which each veteran may aspire to.

We work hard to ensure our parliamentary colleagues are well informed to legislate veterans’ needs.

We champion reform of the DVA role and organisation to include veterans’ post-ADF career management along similar lines to their ADF employment.

We resolutely pursue excellence in all that we do for veterans.

We aspire to earn our veterans’ trust by fulfilling what each veteran asks and expects of us.

To be part of Labor for defence veterans, you do not need to be a member of the Labor party but you cannot be a member of any other political party. We are a network of people striving for laws and policies which safeguard the living and honour the memory of deceased service personnel.
