Dr. Gordon Reid is a Central Coast local who grew up in Umina Beach.
As a local emergency department doctor, Gordon has been serving on the front lines of the pandemic.
In his work, he sees every day the impact of local GP shortages, the neglect of the health system, and the pressure on local hospitals.
The son of local business owners, Gordon knows first-hand the hard work and sacrifice needed to sustain a small business, and their crucial role as local employers. Small business is the backbone of the community, and he will support them to build back stronger.
Gordon ran for the seat of Robertson because he wants his home to be cared for, and to make it an even better place to live, work and raise a family. His own family have strong connections to the Coast community, and he is proud of his Indigenous heritage.
As well as improving local healthcare, Gordon wants to create more local jobs on the Coast, make sure local roads and infrastructure keep pace with the needs of the community and will work to ensure housing affordability.
He will always stand against dangerous projects like the PEP-11 offshore oil and gas drilling contract, and will protect the unique Coast environment and lifestyle for future generations.
