The Centre for New Industries - The case for community wealth building in Australia

Community wealth building is a new people-centred approach to local economic development, which redirects wealth back into the local economy, and places control and benefits into the hands of local people.

Sometimes known as the ‘Preston model’, governments across the world, from Scotland to cities in America like Cleveland to the Inner West Council in Sydney, are embracing community wealth building.

Join us for a conversation about what community wealth building is and what the opportunities are in Australia.

When: Saturday 15th October, 3:30–5pm
Where: Lower Town Hall 1
