David Saliba - Member for Fairfield David Saliba - Member for Fairfield

David was born at Fairfield Hospital and raised in Fairfield City. He went to Patrician Brothers College Fairfield and loved playing rugby league and cricket.

Prior to politics, David was a Federal Agent in the Australian Federal Police fighting organised crime, corruption, and terrorism. He also served as a Captain in the Australian Army Reserve. David’s private sector experience includes working as a Management Consultant for KPMG Australia.

In a voluntary capacity, David formed the Youth Pathways Network, a volunteer group mentoring Western Sydney kids to succeed after high school and stay away from crime. David was also a voluntary Non-Executive Director at Community First Step, a not-for-profit organisation in Fairfield delivering youth, disability, and community services.

Academically, David taught economics and law at Western Sydney University. He holds a PhD as well as degrees in law and economics (with double first-class honours and a university medal).

From a political standpoint, David believes in teamwork to achieve outcomes. He wants to create, build, and sustain community/government networks to take on the challenges that really matter in Fairfield. Overall, he wants to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
