Anne is a lifelong resident of Werriwa. She attended local schools, worked and brought up her family in our area. She has contributed to the community for decades volunteering in local sporting groups and community organisations.
Anne has been the Member for Werriwa since 2016 and was the first women elected to the seat. Prior to her election to the Federal Parliament she served as a Councillor on Liverpool Council for 8 years.
She understands the joys and challenges of living in South Western Sydney. Her passionate connection to the area has ensured the people of Werriwa have a strong local advocate by their side.
Anne has stood shoulder to shoulder with her community in the fight for better roads, housing, rail links and public transport. She has fought for effective healthcare, schools that are properly funded and programs that will support secure jobs and a better way of life.
Anne is most proud of the difference she has made to improve the individual lives of her constituents. Through her tireless work, thousands in Werriwa now have the support and access to services they deserve.
Anne will continue to work hard towards a society where everyone, whatever their means, is welcomed and are able to achieve their full potential. One that enjoys access to high quality public education in local schools and TAFEs, a properly resourced health care system through Medicare and funding for local hospitals, and enhanced opportunities for well-paid secure employment.
Anne Stanley is a strong voice for Werriwa.
