Ballot consists of two constituencies – a metropolitan and regional group and a rural group.
Affirmative action applies to the ballot, as such 40% of those elected must be women. The quota is applied separately to each constituency.
All financial members with one years continuous Party membership (as at the opening of nominations 13/6/19) are eligible to vote in the ballot.
The ballot is optional preferential. You can number as few or as many candidates as you like.
Postal ballots are available on request from the NSW Labor office. Postal ballots must be returned by the close of polls. A postal ballot will be automatically sent via direct mail to all ALP members who have not provided the Party with a valid email address.
