Paul has lived and worked in the Nambucca Valley on Mid North Coast, for the past 30 years. Paul and Denise own a small rural property at Yarranbella.
Paul is currently a community development worker, with 40 years’ experience across a number of fields including policy development, community engagement, project management, consultancy, strategic planning, regional development and research.
Paul first joined the ASWU (now ASU) in North Queensland in 1979.
Paul has held numerous local Branch and Electorate Council executive positions since joining the Nambucca River Branch in 1986. He has been an endorsed Labor candidate for Oxley (1991), and Cowper (1993, 96, 98, 2007, 10). He has served on the Health Policy Committee, and the Country Labor Committee as Deputy Chair.
Extensive compliance and governance expertise is demonstrated by Paul’s training, consultancy and wide ranging Board experience across both Government and non-government agencies including the Mid North Coast Area Health Services Board; inaugural Chair Regional Development Australia, Mid North Coast; and as current member of the NSW Local Community Services Association Board.
Paul is passionate about social justice, community self-determination and the natural forest environment where he lives.
