HOW TO VOTE FOR MELISSA: CLICK TO DOWNLOAD

Melissa has been a long-term resident of Hornsby Shire, living here in her youth and returning to this beautiful area to raise her family.

For over 30 years Melissa has worked as a music teacher in both public and private school sectors. She has seen first-hand the impact a decade of neglect has had on the morale of her teaching colleagues and the state of our public schools. With three sons who attended local public schools, Hornsby TAFE and Macquarie University, she knows the value of good local schools and quality vocational education to support young people to become confident and productive adults.

The Perrottet government has failed to support our teachers and nurses, cut funding for our TAFE and failed to invest in infrastructure for our public schools. The crisis in suitable affordable housing has further impacted our communities by making it harder for our essential workers to live in the communities they serve.

Melissa believes passionately in the need to protect our precious natural environment and listen to community concerns. She will be a strong local voice fighting for a fairer future for the whole community through proper investment in health, education, and housing.
