Melissa Cleary

Melissa Cleary is the Labor candidate for Lake Macquarie in the 2015 NSW state election.

Cares about our community

Melissa Cleary has lived in Lake Macquarie for over 40 years. Growing up in Booragul, where she now lives with her family, Melissa is committed to working for our community and wants to make it an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

Standing up for Lake Macquarie
While the Liberals have forgotten about Lake Macquarie, Melissa Cleary will stand up to make sure we get our fair share. With experience in both small business and the public sector, Melissa knows how to get the job done and will make sure our voice is heard.

Putting Lake Macquarie first
Melissa understands that good government policy should support local economies and improve people’s lives.
Melissa will always put our community first by:
Fighting the Liberals’ planned privatisation of the electricity network, which will increase the cost of living for local families;

Making school and TAFE funding a priority again, because every student deserves access to a quality education;

Creating, supporting and protecting local jobs; and

Ensuring that all Lake Macquarie residents have access to well-resourced public health services.
