Melanie Dagg

Melanie Dagg Melanie Dagg

Melanie joined the Labor Party in 2004, inspired by her father who was a Party member and CFMEU (Mining & Energy) Lodge Secretary. She was elected as a Cessnock City Councillor in 2016, currently serving as Deputy Mayor, and was the Country Labor candidate for Upper Hunter at the 2019 State election. Melanie is a member of the Country Labor Committee and the Administrative Committee and also Secretary of the Branxton-Greta Branch and Hunter FEC.

Melanie is a member of the United Services Union and is currently studying law. She has been heavily involved in a number of local community and sporting groups, which she thoroughly enjoys in her spare time. Melanie has worked in the hospitality and legal industries, as well as for the Federal Member for Hunter, Joel Fitzgibbon MP.
