Kirsten Andrews is the Head of Media and Government Relations at the University of Sydney.
Prior to that, she worked as National Media Communications Manager for the National Heart Foundation and for Federal and State Labor MPs, including as Chief of Staff to Federal Minister Tony Burke and Deputy Director of Communications to NSW Premier, Morris Iemma. She also worked for Federal Opposition Leaders Kim Beazley and Simon Crean.
Kirsten has also been active in the republican movement, and was an ARM delegate to the 1998 Constitutional Convention from South Australia.
She is a member of the Brighton-le-Sands Branch and the NSW Labor Women’s Forum.
Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (Hons) from the University of South Australia and has completed a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Sydney.
