100th anniversary of the 1917 Great Strike

This will be one of your first chances to see the Carriageworks newly commissioned exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 1917 rail strike.

Australia's largest strike, it shaped the labour movement for decades to come. Ben Chifley, Doc Evatt, Bill McKell, Eddie Ward and Jack Lang all played a role.

Join local Labor branches whose members were part at the heart of the strike - at the Eveleigh railyards.

Join us for drinks, speeches and to view the exhibition.
