Hi, my name is Godfrey and I'm running to represent my community of North Shore in the New South Wales Parliament.
I've lived locally for decades with my brilliant wife Judi. I'm currently serving as the Deputy Mayor of North Sydney after being elected to the local council two years ago.
I'm an economist by trade as well as a former diplomat and small business owner.
I'm running for North Shore to achieve the following:
- Fix the crisis in our health system by enforcing safe staffing levels, upskilling paramedics, training more nurses and midwives and removing the wages cap.
- Make it easier to buy or rent a home on the North Shore by removing or reducing the stamp duty tax burden for 95 per cent of first home buyers, ensuring that 30 per cent of all homes built on surplus government land are set aside for social, affordable and universal housing, protecting tenants from unfair evictions and making it easier for renters to have pets in their homes.
- Protect our beautiful environment and waterways by cancelling the disastrous Beaches Link project, regenerating our local greenspace and creating an iconic Great Koala National Park on the Mid North Coast to protect approximately 20 per cent of the wild koala population in NSW.
If these sound like important policies to you, please join our campaign today.
