Geoff Derrick is the National Assistant Secretary of the Finance Sector Union of Australia. He was elected to the position in 2012 after 15 years as the NSW/AC T Secretary of the union. He is a member of the FSU National Executive.
Geoff was raised in Mount Druitt and is a proud graduate of the TAFE system. He now holds qualifications in Arts and Law. Since getting a job in the local bank at age 16 he has dedicated his career to advancing the lives of working people. He joined the Labor Party in 1984 and is currently a member of the Blaxland Glenbrook branch. Geoff has been a delegate to both state and national conferences. He has been a member of the NSW Policy Forum since its inception and he previously worked on the, now completed, Building A Modern Labor Party project.
Geoff is a director of FSU Property Pty Ltd and the Trades Hall Association Ltd.
Geoff is also a White Ribbon Ambassador and Vice-President of Unions NSW. He is an ACTU Congress delegate, a keen Penrith Panthers fan and an avid supporter of the Western Sydney Wanderers.
