Luke Whitington

Luke Whitington is a rank and file member of the Administrative Committee, who sees it as his duty to represent their interests, including, ensuring rank and file members’ rights are maintained and respected; raising issues associated with resourcing local campaigns, such as training and mentoring; prioritising organising between elections; and rebuilding the strength of the entire labour movement over the long term.

Luke is the Deputy Chair of the Economic Policy Committee and a member of the Springwood Branch.

He currently works as a policy adviser for Senator Doug Cameron and previously worked for Peter Primrose MLC; as an organiser for the Liquor Hospitality Miscellaneous Union (now United Voice); as an English and swimming teacher in Japan; at the Redfern RSL and as President of the Sydney University SRC.
