About James

I grew up on the North Shore and, together with my wife, Lyndsi, an emergency doctor at Royal North Shore Hospital, we are raising our young son locally. After studying law in the United States, and practicing for several years in New York City, I returned to Australia in 2004 and lived in Kirribilli for the next ten years.

As an experienced corporate lawyer who has worked on significant infrastructure projects, I understand business and how to negotiate transactions. And as the principal of my own legal practice, I understand the challenges of running a successful small business.

Putting North Shore first

I am running for Parliament because the North Shore has been taken for granted for too long by the Liberals.
I will fight to preserve the qualities that make North Shore such a special place to live – the harbour foreshore, the green spaces, the community services and the public transport and hospital infrastructure that support our quality of life.
I will stand up against the Liberals’ plans to sell off public assets and infrastructure, including Health Minister Skinner’s proposed sale of part of the campus of Royal North Shore Hospital.
